The lesson of the book was love others. We should love others or die. We should never hold grudges and always forgive. If we never forgive we can never love. I think the most important message is to Love others.

In the Twelfth Tuesday Morrie explains the purpose of forgiveness. Morrie believes that it is VERY important to forgive. He also feels that he is very lucky to be able to forgive others. He feels sad because he never forgave his friend before he died. Morrie want to forgive everybody before he dies. This is what Morrie feels about forgiveness.
The Lesson Morrie Taught Me:
Morrie taught me that there's more to life than money an myself. I learned that I should help others and give to people in need. Morrie also taught me that I should keep in touch with my loved ones and always forgive others. The irony between the "Trial of the Century" reaching its conclusion and Morrie's life is that as the trial ends, so does Morrie's life. Morrie's day were quickly fading. Also as the trial's verdict was pronounced, Morrie didn't even realize (even when the whole world was watching) because he was sitting on the toilet. The basketball game reflected who Morrie is as a person because it showed that Morrie didn't care about winning or losing he just wanted to have fun. It also showed Morrie's character and how he is a great person.
Mitch describes the commitment of marriage as complicated. Everywhere Mitch goes he sees that everyone has problems with it. He wonders why everyone has such problems with marriage.
Morrie feels that in this culture it is very important to find a long relationship. He thinks that kids these days rush into marriage without thinking it through. He thinks we should wait longer before getting married so we know our partner is the right person. Morrie's Rules For Marriage 1. You have to respect the person you are marrying. 2. You have to compromise with the person you are marrying. 3. You have to talk openly about what going on between the person you are marrying and yourself. 4. You have to have a common set of values with the person you are marrying. I agree with Morrie's rules for marriage because everything he says a couple has to do, a couple has to do. If a couple can't do those things and they get married "they're going to have a lot of trouble". This is what I think about Morrie's rules for marriage. Love Goes On: Even though my cat Tommy doesn't always visit my Grandma, and I rarely see him, my love more him never fades. I know that he loves me and that he would never leave for good. He is my favorite cat and he is my baby. My love for Tommy will live forever even after he dies :(.
