Text to Self: Once I saw a friend do something I didn't agree with. I, like Brady, was worried that if I told, they wouldn't like me. I felt good that I made the right choice after though.
Text to Text: In Nothing But the Truth Phillip makes a poor choice just like JT and Digger. Phil hurts someone in the process also like JT and Digger. Text to World: In the news I saw a story about how someone shot a group of people in a church. One lady saw the guy who did it but was worried that if she turned him in she would get hurt. I believe this connects to the story because Brady feels a similar way.

1. Brady/Digger: I believe that there is nothing that can happen to change this relationship's fate because Digger won't like Brady anymore for turning him in.
2. Brady/JT: I believe that if Brady and JT apologize to each other they will be able to improve their relationship because JT is a nice person and didn't mean harm. He also knows that its what Brady had to do. 3. Brady/Mrs. DiAngelo: I believe that Brady needs to have a long talk with Mrs. DiAngelo to explain everything to her and apologize because Brady feels really bad about what happened, and I think Mrs. DiAngelo would forgive him if he came clean to her. Digger's home life isn't so great. His parents are always fighting and he is left to shelter his siblings. I believe that it may be part of the reason for his behavior but I don't think its accuse for it. Just because your life isn't the best you shouldn't make others lives bad too. You should try to help other equally or less fortunate that you and try to fix your issues. This has never happened to me but I've seen it happens to others.
Once when I was up at my grandmother's house, I saw my grandpa needed help with unloading hay. I was hesitant to ask him if he needed me because I was on break and I didn't really want to do any work. I decided to go and help him anyways. This made me feel good. I also learned that its fun to throw hay bales from the top floor of the barn.
Brady had a long time to think about what he was going to do with the drill on the train ride to Rhode Island. If I were in his position I would tell one or both of my parents and ask them what I should do. I would tell them the whole story, even what happened before I brought up drilling the holes in the kayak with JT and Digger.
In chapters 17-22 a lot happens. Brady decided to destroy the evidence by throwing the drill in the river. He gives away Tiny Tim, too. He has a long talk Digger about how no one will ever forget about what happened. Even though Brady thought that getting rid of the drill would make him feel better it didn't at all. It almost made him feel worse because, deep down inside, he knew it wasn't what's right.
Brady found his dad's drill. The drill had specks of red paint that looked like they belonged to the DiAngelos' red kayak. He is worried that maybe his friends used the drill to puncture the kayak. I think Brady will confront his friends with all his questions.
In the butterfly garden they recommended she use flowers that we bright and pretty with lots of colors such as blue and purple, but NOT red. I think the butterfly garden is symbolic to the story because it symbolizes coping with death and there are a lot of deaths in the story. It helped because the butterflies acted as her daughter's spirits to her.
They didn't want him to find out what they did. They also felt kind of jealous of Brady. I would have asked them why they were avoiding and lying to me. I would heave felt hurt like Brady did.
