If I learned I was going to die soon, I would live my life very differently. I would live everyday likes its my last. I would do what important and what I enjoy doing. I would tell all my loved ones how much I love them. I would also apologize to those I wronged. I would teach others the lessons I learned and tell them my opinion on life. This is how I would live my life by this quote by Morrie Schwartz.

Regrets are interesting things. Some of us look upon them as bad things and others look at them in a good way. It depends what you see. My opinion on regrets is if you can get a lesson out of them, they aren't such a bad thing. If you only see them in a negative view than they turn into a bad thing. We shouldn't look down on regrets. If we keep wanting to change our past, our lives will become nothing more than the phrase: "coulda, shoulda, woulda". This is my view on regrets.
Morrie's view on regrets is similar to mine. He says: "Its (its = regrets) what everyone worries about, isn't it. What if today was my last day on Earth?" {Tuesdays with Morrie, page 64} He believes that we can't dwell on our regrets, we should live for today. Regrets are what we learn from. This is what I believe Morrie's view on regrets is like. This quote said by Henry Adams means that a teacher's influence on a student doesn't end when the student leaves their class. A teacher can effect a student's life greatly. When a good teacher affects a student, that student will remember it for the rest of his or hers life. That student will than take that impact and spread it to their kids and/or students of their own. This id what I think of the quote: "A teacher affects eternity; he never tell where his influence stops."
One person I trust a lot is my mom. She always takes care of me and helps me with homework. She helps me study for tests. My mom protects me and listens to me when I need to talk. My mom would never let me down. This is why I trust my mom. In the Chapter in Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, "The Second Tuesday", Mitch and Morrie talk about feeling sorry for yourself. Morrie told Mitch how soon people are going to have to wipe his "ass" for him one day. The newspaper situation also still hadn't improved. Morrie was delighted when Mitch brought him food and they talked while they ate it. Morrie told Mitch how in the morning, he would sometimes feel sorry for himself, but only then. He would allow him self a few minutes to mourn about his withering body. Awkwardly, Mitch learned how to pick Morrie up and put him in his chair. This is what happened in "The Second Tuesday."
I think it is okay to feel sorry for your self a small amount, but no too much. When you feel sorry for yourself too much, you start to become depressed and unmotivated to make your world better. I agree with Morrie when he says that you can feel sorry for a little while but not 24/7. This is what I think of feeling sorry for yourself. Many people are and have suffered from tornadoes in the South (of the USA). These ruthless tornadoes kill 100s of 1000s of people and injure many more. They rip up homes and farms. They take everything from people.
Citizens of Texas and Oklahoma have to prepare everyday for tornadoes in-case one occurs that day. Right now meteorologists are tracking multiple different tornadoes that could hit some of the southern states very soon. Citizens in the potential path of those tornadoes have been advised to prepare for the tornado. I feel bad for these people because in the tornado season, when people leave their homes each day, they may not ever see their families again. It is constant waiting to see if a tornado is going to strike soon. I pray for these people so that they can live a worry-free life without the threat of a tornado. The world is a beautiful place. Many trees and flowers make a pretty nice scenery. Every country is known for a different thing and that's what makes them unique.
The news can sometimes be depressing. Violent wars are being fought, people being killed, and I.S.I.S. attacking innocent people. I love the world, but it is definitely not perfect. I would much rather see people around the world helping each other instead of fighting. I would be so happy if people made compromises instead of arguing. I wish I could make these things happen. All around me is nice and friendly people who care about others. Everybody knows each other and everyone is always helping out the community. We are always taking steps to make the world a greener and even more beautiful place. This is my view of the world. MITCH-
Ashamed- Mitch feels bad about forgetting about Morrie. Ex. Page 38- "I promised I would, and I tried not to think about the last time I promised this." Surprised- Mitch is confused about why Morrie is sad. Ex. Page. 35- "Dying is only one thing to be sad over, Mitch. Living unhappily with someone else. So many of the people who come to visit me are unhappy." Loving and Interested- Mitch likes to visit and talk to Morrie. Ex. Page 31- "All right, I'll be you're coach. And you can be my play. You can play all the lovely parts of life that I'm too old for now." MORRIE- Smart- Morrie knows many things about life. Ex. Page 35- "That's me, I'm still you're coach." Lonely- Morrie likes when Mitch visits him. Ex. Page 38- "Come back and see you're professor." Sick- Morrie has a deadly disease. Ex. Page 29- "Morrie swallowed the pills, put down the paper cup, inhaled deeply, then let it out. Shall I tell you what it is like to die." |
